Z-boom cranes gaining popularity

Z-boom cranes have become more common throughout Europe in recent years. The Finnish crane manufacturer Kesla estimates that Z-boom cranes already constitute almost 40% of its crane production. Alongside traditional Z-boom cranes, a front folded version has also been introduced to the market, which combines the benefits of straight-boom and Z-boom cranes.

Open house at Kesla on 4th and 5th of October

The Association for Finnish Work (Suomalaisen työn liitto) organized a week of open house days between 3rd and 9th of October 2022. Any and all Finnish companies were encouraged to host their own open house for the public and offer a peek behind their operations. The aim of the campaign was to highlight the importance of Finnish work, and offer the public the opportunity to get to know the various companies in their local area. Kesla participated in the campaign by organizing its own open house in Kesälahti on Tuesday 4th of October, and in Joensuu on Thursday 5th of October. Visitors were offered various activities to choose from, such as guided tours in Kesla’s production facilities, a chance to test out Kesla’s products, a 3D-scanning presentation, simulators, and a spare-parts auction. In addition, Kesla’s long-time partner, Youtuber Metsäman, was also present.
