Stroke feed harvester heads

The new generation of stroke harvesters

Kesla has been the leading manufacturer of stroke feeding harvester heads for decades. The SH-II stroke heads have long incorporated the advanced technology and design expertise used in Kesla’s high end roller harvester heads, making them true state of the art tools in the market.

With the recent renewal of the KESLA RH series to its third generation, the stroke feeding technology has now been upgraded to the same modern level. As a result, the new KESLA SH-II Advance stroke harvester heads have been introduced.

Thanks to feeding powered by hydraulic cylinders - rather than hydraulic motors - the KESLA SH-II Advance heads deliver exceptional feeding force, even when used with modestly powered base machines. This makes them an ideal choice for excavator based harvesters and processors. In practice, it means you can efficiently process very large and heavily branched trees with an excavator as small as 7 tons.

Stroke feed technology is also exceptionally gentle on the timber. Even challenging, branchy trees can be processed without damaging the surface of valuable logs.

The construction of the KESLA SH-II Advance heads is simple, robust, and logical, making them easy to operate, understand, and maintain. Additionally, hydraulic cylinder based stroke feeding is extremely energy efficient, resulting in low operating costs and a more environmentally friendly harvesting process.
