The timber logistics chain demands increasingly efficient, durable, and operator focused solutions, especially for handling long timber. In response, Kesla has introduced further development updates and technical refinements to the previously launched KESLA 2225 and KESLA 2228 tree length cranes. The updates are based on product development work as well as feedback gathered at exhibitions and through customer interactions, improving the cranes’ performance, usability, and suitability for demanding loading environments.
More Hydraulic Power and Flexibility
The KESLA 2225 and KESLA 2228 loaders now offer improved performance and flexibility for various loading conditions. The KESLA 2228 features larger cylinders that deliver increased lifting force for demanding whole tree handling tasks. Hydraulic options have been clarified: the standard configuration includes a 2 circuit system with Parker K130 valves, while an optional load sensing Parker L90LS system is available for intensive loading operations.
Expanded Outreach and Structural Options
The outreach range has been extended and now covers 8.4–10.7 meters.
A two extension boom, reinforced cylinder, and easily adjustable chain tensioner improve durability and serviceability. Internal telescopic hoses can be replaced without dismantling structural components.
Optional boom supports and FD3850 flapdown stabilizer legs further enhance stability, particularly in steep terrain and mountain road conditions.
Improved Operator Comfort and Safety
The proC i 2.0 electric control system enables operator specific profiles as well as adjustable movement and reaction speeds for different loading environments. Optional electric end cushioning for cylinders reduces pressure shocks and extends component life.
The redesigned ergonomic high seat control station includes OPS functionality, seat suspension, and seat heating, supporting safe and comfortable operation during long working shifts.
Experience the Cranes in Action
The KESLA 2225 and KESLA 2228 models were presented at the Forexpo 2025 exhibition in Mimizan, France, from 18–20 June 2025. The new cranes have attracted strong interest among contractors, and within a short period, Kesla has gained dozens of new customers.
Updated versions of the KESLA 2225 and KESLA 2228 cranes are now available through the Kesla dealer network. Contact your nearest dealer to arrange a demonstration - and see for yourself how Kesla once again sets a new standard for tree length timber handling.
