KESLA Defence has received an important order from the defence forces of an undisclosed NATO country. This order is significant for Kerberos Multipurpose concept, as it will be rigorously tested for its capabilities, particularly in countermobility operations. Finnish Defence Forces are already users of the Kerberos concept.
The exact value and number of units to be delivered has been agreed to remain confidential. However, this order signifies a crucial step in evaluating the Kerberos concept's effectiveness and suitability for broader deployment in the destination country. The primary objective of this order is to test the Kerberos Multipurpose concept's innovative Anti-Tank Mine Laying System. This system is designed to provide high-speed deployment of Anti-Tank Mines across various terrains with minimal manpower.
The results of these tests will play a vital role in determining the potential for larger-scale adoption of the Kerberos concept by the customer.
The Kerberos Multipurpose concept is a versatile solution that transforms ordinary civilian or military tractors into powerful countermobility tools. It combines logistics, mobility, and ground drilling capabilities, making it an invaluable multiuse asset for military engineers in both rural and urban environments.
The Kerberos Multipurpose concept is equipped with a machined Anti-Tank Mine Laying System, allowing it to deploy mines swiftly and efficiently. Additionally, the trailer enhances the mobility of friendly forces and provides a universal logistics solution, suitable for both peacetime and wartime operations.
“Our collaboration with the Finnish Defence Forces led to the creation of the first Kerberos multipurpose trailer, and we continue to innovate and expand our capabilities. We look forward to the successful testing, customer training and potential future deployment of the Kerberos Multipurpose concept, reinforcing our commitment to providing advanced solutions for defence and protection”, comments Pasi Nieminen, CEO of Kesla Oyj.
