Kesla will present its updated forest trailer for tractors at the SkogsElmia fair.

04.06.2015 Nouvelles

The KESLA forest trailer range for tractors has been completely revamped over the last year. The new range includes a trailer option for all loading categories from 8 to 12 tonnes. The new models feature a wealth of technical improvements but their appearance has naturally been spruced up as well.

As before, one of the core themes of the updated KESLA forest trailer range is the single-pole structure. Compared to the previous range, the pole is more robust, sized at 200 x 200 mm in all models. The pole is made of thick, high- grade steel. The single-pole structure makes the trailer extremely durable but also keeps its weight relatively low. The pole serves as a convenient mount for the grapple and loader when the trailer is empty.

“The much-lauded single-pole structure also enables the frame to be extended,” says Janne Sinkkonen, Sales Manager at Kesla Oyj. “The frame extension can be used to add about a metre to the frame length. Also bunks can be added on the frame freely.”

The poles have been specifically shaped for their purpose. The poles cannot rise out of their places or turn towards the load space. In addition to this, the poles, which narrow towards the top, improve stability and provide more room when driving in the forest. Naturally, additional bunks or a bunk with double posts can also be installed in many models.

The new range features a front screen and front screen supports as standard. They facilitate the positioning of the logs on the trailer and help keep them in place.

“We wanted the front screen and screen supports as standard features in the new range, since they have received a lot of praise from our customers,” Sinkkonen says. “Articulated drawbarl, which helps to control the trailer, is also a standard feature of all trailers in the updated range.

As has come to be expected, a vast variety of accessories are available, including various drive options, brakes and road traffic equipment. Among the notable details is the addition of lugs for tying down the timber load with strap

KESLA 316 – the king of loaders

The sturdy KESLA 316-loader is now to be tested at the exhibition. The product has received excellent feedback since the sturdy loader is capable of lifting an astounding 1,540 kg (single extension) even at a height of four metres. Alongside the loaders Kesla's fair exhibit will feature the new proG grapple range, which includes 0.18 m2–0.50 m2 grapples for use with timber and bioenergy materials.

Stroke delimber KESLA 40 LFe – the multi-purpose harvesting tool

Kesla's new stroke delimber 40LFe will also be presented at the fair. The device, which is connected to a tractor and controlled electronically with a single joystick, delimbs and cuts timber.

The KESLA tractor forest equipment will be on display at Kesla Oyj's section 496 at the SkogsElmia
