KESLA C645 chipper product family offers ideal solutions for tractor use. The KESLA chippers are not only durable, but their daily maintenance is also quick. The chippers are made of highly wear-resistant steel and the wear parts are long-lasting and easy to replace.

KESLA C645S – agile, single axle chipper.
KESLA C645T – sturdy, 2-axle chipper.
KESLA C645T heavy duty – suspended 2-axle chipper designed for heavy use and longer transitions.

Intake opening

In the KESLA C645 product family chippers, the size of the intake opening is 630 mm * 420 mm.

Feed table

The feed table is long, which, together with the aggressive upper roller, keeps a hold of the trees until the rotor. Thanks to the high tailgate, the trees can be easily guided to the opening.

Waste screws

The waste screws transport the fine material off the feeding mat past the rotor.

Efficient KESLA cranes

The KESLA cranes are ideal for chipper use – whether paired with the KESLA chippers or chippers from other brands. Also keep in mind the extensive bioenergy grapple range of the proG series.

KESLA proCHIPPER control system

Both the chipper and the KESLA crane are controlled by the same electrical control system, so no additional cables or switches are needed in the cabin. The right-hand mini joystick of the control system can be integrated into the right armrest of a Valtra tractor.

Durable chute design with a wide working radius

The chute design offers a wide working radius thanks to a two-piece flap. It also enables a good chip output and precise blowing, supported by streamlined geometry. Well-protected, efficient blower

The fan offers suitable blowing power for different materials. Easily replaceable wear plates guarantee a long service life even in heavy use. The material is Hardox 6–16 mm.

Also available with roller drive

The KESLA C645T and C645C chippers can be equipped with HD, i.e. Robson, roller drive intended for random use. Thanks to the drive, they can be used even in challenging conditions, such as unstable ground and heavy snow.

Beam control improves agility

All KESLA C645 series chippers can be equipped with a two-cylinder beam control (container chipper with one large cylinder). The benefits of beam control are familiar from timber trailers: excellent agility and improved all-terrain capabilities.

Chip size adjustment with interchangeable screens

The chip piece size can be adjusted with screens. Changing screens is easy and does not require any special tools. There are various screens available.

Blade replacement in 15 minutes

Blade replacement is fairly easy, it takes just 15 minutes.

Cutting blade solution

The patented cutting blade solution makes chipping productive and fuel-efficient.

Easy maintenance

Easy maintenance has been ensured in the design of the entire chipper. The most important components are protected by replaceable wear parts and their replacement is quick. Maintenance items are easy to access.

Robust stabiliser legs

Robust stabiliser legs suitable for chipper use improve the flow of work.

Toolbox

Upon request, the chipper can also be fitted with 1–2 lockable stainless steel toolboxes.

Camera

The chippers can be fitted with a chute camera to facilitate the direction of the chip jet, and another camera can be fitted in the back of the chipper as a reversing camera to facilitate movement with the combination and placement of the crane in the transport position.

Brakes

Braking equipment improves the safety and manoeuvrability of the combination. Hydraulic brakes are available for all KESLA C645 series chippers. In addition, pneumatic brakes can be requested for the C645S and C645T heavy duty models.

KESLA logCUT rotor

Kesla’s logCUT rotor is suitable for both light and heavy use. The rotor was designed to produce a uniform chip size. All wear parts of the rotor are replaceable. The rotor has six blade holders. The blades are attached with four M24 bolts without adjuster bolts. Friction locking allows the blades to retract if they hit metal or stone. One-sided and two-sided blades are available. They can be sharpened and are easy to replace.

What things influence in chip output in practice?

There are several things influencing in the output beside the efficiency of the chipper itself. E.g. available efficiency, condition of the knives, material and screen size, to mention some.

Is KESLA proCAB cabin suitable for chipper control?

Yes, Kesla proCAB cabin are well suited for truck chipper use. Especially the bigger XL cabin provides good working conditions and is especially planned for chipper use.

How often must the chipper be serviced?

The need for service depends on the amount of use. In the user manual there are detailed instructions for servicing intervals and points for your chipper. Of course, the condition of the chipper must be checked daily.
