Thanks to its modular design, the new KESLA 19RH-III harvester head can be optimized to work in a wide variety of conditions, with different wood and on different base machines. The KESLA 19RH-III is a 3-knife harvester head with one rear delimbing knife, suitable for first or subsequent thinning, as well as for harvesting short rotation eucalyptus and acacia plantations with or without debarking. As a 3-knife, 19RH-III is an excellent choice for handling a slightly more challenging acacia. If head weight is a critical factor, the 19RH-III is a great choice because of its lighter weight. It is best suited for installation on 8-13 ton excavators or wheeled harvesters.
KESLA twinAX cutting system
KESLA 19RH-III twinAX is an efficient solution for energy wood harvesting. Thanks to the modular structure of the RH-III harvester head series, KESLA 19RH-III is easy to equip for various applications. The KESLA twinAX cutting system is a cutting knife unit intended to replace the saw module of KESLA 19/21RH-III heads. With a cutting capacity of up to 30 cm (depending on the wood type), KESLA twinAX is perfect for heavier energy wood harvesting sites.
A regular saw module can easily be replaced with the twinAX module and vice versa, reducing the risks related to head investments, even in rapidly changing work situations. The KESLA twinAX cutting system ensures stump treatment in line with the Forest Act, including on energy wood sites. Equipped with the revamped KESLA MTH-grip multi-stem processing grapple, KESLA proTILT tilt control and multi-stem feed rollers, the harvester head is an incredibly efficient tool for multi-stem processing.
KESLA twinAX is available also for KESLA 21RH-III
The Kesla heads are always equipped according to the needs of customer. With the wide range of optional equipment and accessories there is always a Kesla head that perfectly fits to you.
Special attention has been paid for ease and convenience of daily maintenance. Thanks to the spacious structure of the Kesla heads, for example lubrication and change of hoses are easy to do.
The KESLA harvester heads are compatible with the common control- and measuring systems at the market. Kesla offers different versions of proLOG-system, which has superb price-quality-relation.
Besides its extensive harvester head range suiting almost all excavator models, Kesla also provides comprehensive installation services and extensive accessory packages. Options selected by customers may include, for example, an installation kit for hydraulics, measuring and control system, Xtender boom and a full range of safety equipment.
Thanks to the well balanced construction and strong tilt pivoted close to the center of gravity, the KESLA heads are known of excellent balance both tilted up and down. Grabbing a tree is easy, and correct balance in processing position results in good delimbing force and quality.
With a KESLA head you will get the market’s best two-roller drive with unbeatable features: With only two feeding motors the construction of the head is simple, which results in excellent power-to-weight ratio and serviceability. Two motors mean also minimized flow resistance in hydraulics, meaning higher feeding speed and force with less fuel. However, thanks to the ingenious roller links with variable roller angle (the rollers carry the weight of large-diameter trees to maximize grip while smaller trees are clamped between the rollers to minimize friction) and hydraulic anti-slip system, we don’t compromise in grip and traction force. Less is more!
