Kesla has relocated its spare parts storage in Southern Finland to Maantec Oy's premises in Kauklahti, Espoo. At the moment there are approximately 2000 items available for timber and City cranes directly in Kauklahti.

Kesla has made some procedures inside the company to ensure the safety of the staff and to lower the infection wave in Finland. Procedures include among others increased hygiene, possibility to work from home and minimizing internal and external contacts. Kesla signed in the beginning of 2016 a contract with AGCo International GmbH concerning the distribution of KESLA tractor attachments. Since signing the contract, the cooperation has began in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Latvia. Now the cooperation widens further to Belgium.

In addition to running his own farm, Kari Väisänen also operates a forestry business in Sonkajärvi, right at the heart of Ylä-Savo in Finland. While his farm mostly produces barley and oats, Harvus, Väisänen’s forestry business focuses on felling, thinning, and transporting trees, as well as selling firewood. The different activities of these two businesses are conveniently spread across the year — the farm work is largely done in summer, leaving the winter months for forestry.

Itämoto Oy has been in operation since 2014, with its headquarters in Tolosenmäki, Kitee. The company’s equipment includes two John Deere harvesters, one built on excavator as a base machine and one Sampo Rosenlew forwarder. The company performs contract work for Stora Enso through Tähtimetsä in the Kitee, Tohmajärvi and Rääkkylä areas.

Under his own trade name, Seppo Knuuttila has transported logs and energy wood, as well as performed lumberjack work, ploughing and stump grinding in the Imatra area since 2005. The main activity is specifically the transport of logs and energy wood, for which Knuuttila uses a Valtra 214 Versu tractor equipped with a KESLA 144HD forest trailer and 316T loader. Log transport customers include the City of Imatra with its subsidiaries and Stora Enso.

The strategic decision by KESLA to separate tractor attachments to its own business unit has borne fruit. It can be seen in all efforts and more concretely on Kesla’s stand 185 and on Lantmännen’s stand 571 at SkogsElmia exhibition in Jönköping (Sweden).
