Farmer Fredrik Johansson lives nearby Jönköping, Sweden, with his family. Like else where in Europe, also in Sweden farming has become more and more challenging. On the forestry side, the situation is better though and wood sells well. At Johanssons forestry side is gradually overtaking the traditional farming side.

Kesla will present several new harvester products at the SkogsElmia fair, the most important of which is the roller harvester head KESLA 18RH-II. In addition, the Kesla section will present the JPRS R 5500 harvester saw unit, which Kesla has recently begun to install on its products at the factory. The Finnish Kesla Oyj introduces at SkogsElmia the electric hybrid technology for chippers through KESLA C860 Hybrid, which is already in testing phase. The chipper operates on diesel and electricity, and can also be driven by electricity alone, with some limitations. The hybrid wood chipper can achieve significant reductions in the emissions and fuel consumption of chipping.
