City straight-boom cranes
There are many tastes, but in City cranes, bodybuilding solutions usually require either a straight boom crane or a Z-crane. The straight boom crane can be installed behind the cabin of the truck or on the rear of the trailer. The straight boom crane is usually lifted into the transport position on top of the platform structure for quick access.
Kesla has developed a stability control system for the City cranes, proSTABILITY. The system enables the radio control of the crane, but it is also available for top seat equipment. The system alerts the driver about several factors that have impacts on stability, for instance for overload, inclination of the truck or if the vehicle loses ground contact. In addition, it prevents functions that increase the lifting torque in extreme conditions. The system shows several crane status data including sensor faults, fault log, the position of the stabilizer and crane as well as lift capacity in that position. The system also offers the possibility to a limited lift sector without stabilizer legs.
Ensures the best lifting capacity in every boom position.
The hydraulic hosing is well protected inside the boom.
All City crane models have cast slew system with oil bath.
Lifting cylinder guard comes as standard.
The booms of KESLA City cranes are made of Strenx MC700MC+ steel.
The sortiment has both timber and bioenergy grapples in various sizes. The geometry of the grapples is very carefully planned, making both grapping one log or a big bunch easy. The durable materials and good design verify the long life time of the grapple.
Yes, excavator equipment and profile- or drainige buckets are available for loaders up to 203T.
The ones in the brochure are not but we have similar type of gravel buckets available also for our older grapples in our spare parts and also for your grapple.
Quite small tractor (60-80 hp, 2500 kg) is good when you are working with a crane that is mounted on the trailer. Oil flow is a critical thing. Minimum oil flow needed for our smallest crane model KESLA 211 is 25-40 l/min. Bigger cranes will need more oil flow. For example KESLA 304T works properly with 40-70 l/min or with LS 100-130 l/min. Powerful oil flow is important for good control of the crane.
If you mount a KESLA crane on JAKE-frame or 3-point hitch your tractor's weight should be at least 3 500 kg. That is minimum weight for KESLA 200-series cranes and 200-series cranes are possible to mount on the 3-point hitch. With KESLA 300-500 –series cranes tractors weight has to be 4 000 or more. JAKE-frame is the best option for tractor mounted crane.
For crane control we have manual, servohydraulic and electrical control systems. With all of those you can operate properly inside the tractors cabin. Servohydraulic and electrical controls are the easiest for the mounting.
Main purpose is to lift logs from narrow places, like transport chains on the saw mills. It can also be used in skidder cranes.
