Kesla launches a new ZT17 recycling crane

Kesla is a Finnish company known for its’ forestry machines such as cranes, tractor forest equipment, harvester heads and chippers. The company has now widened the use of its strongest cranes to recycling duties. The first crane that is fully equipped for recycling duties is ZT17. The crane is for display on the Elmia exhibition in Jönköping on the stand 303.

Kesla introduces a brand new 17 tonnemetre straight boom crane

The Finnish company Kesla introduces a new 17 tonnemetre straight boom crane. The KESLA 2117 crane is part of the crane series 21, the first models of which were introduced a few years back. The new crane is especially suitable for timber loading in terminals, for industrial applications and for chipper or crusher feeding.

C645 is even better

The dairy cattle left (Pedersöre/Esse) Alvar Wärn's farm in Ähtävä six years ago, and the warm barn was made into a full-scale forestry equipment storage shed. He selected wood chipping as his new business. Choosing a wood chipper was not difficult, he simply turned to the familiar Finnish-made Kesla. In February 2017, Alvar Wärn renovated his chipping unit by sticking with the same models: Kesla C645 and Valtra T234.

A strong belief in grapple loaders in Eastern Finland

Jouko Makkonen, who is living in Eastern Finland, in Savonranta, is now using his fifth KESLA tractor loader – and to be specific a grapple loader - which he finds as an unbeatable solution for farms. The newest loader was purchased in 2015 as the previous KESLA 204 loader was changed over to Makkonen’s son who continued the farming as Makkonen retired. First he thought that he would loan the loader when there is need, but as the loader was always busy in farm work, he decided to purchase one of his own. With the purchase he also happened to get one of his brainchildren, bale claws that can be attached to a grapple, converted to a tangible product.
