Open house at Kesla on 4th and 5th of October

07.10.2022 News

The Association for Finnish Work (Suomalaisen työn liitto) organized a week of open house days between 3rd and 9th of October 2022. Any and all Finnish companies were encouraged to host their own open house for the public and offer a peek behind their operations. The aim of the campaign was to highlight the importance of Finnish work, and offer the public the opportunity to get to know the various companies in their local area.

Kesla participated in the campaign by organizing its own open house in Kesälahti on Tuesday 4th of October, and in Joensuu on Thursday 5th of October. Visitors were offered various activities to choose from, such as guided tours in Kesla’s production facilities, a chance to test out Kesla’s products, a 3D-scanning presentation, simulators, and a spare-parts auction. In addition, Kesla’s long-time partner, Youtuber Metsäman, was also present.

Kesälahti, 4th of October

The open house at Kesälahti was held at an authentic forest-environment, about 10 kilometers from Kesla's Kesälahti factory. Kesla's business partners Prosilva, AGCO Finland, Punkaharjun Metsäpalvelu, and Riveria vocational school were also present.

Since the event was organized in an authentic forest-environment, the main focus of the day was on work demonstrations. Visitors were able to see first-hand how efficiently Kesla's harvester heads and Prosilva's machinery work together. Other additional work demonstrations were held for Kesla's tractor equipment such as the new KESLA 325T loader.

Youtuber Metsäman - Kesla’s long-time collaborator and a creator of various forestry-themed Youtube videos - also visited the event to sign autographs and meet his fans.

Visitors did not have to leave the event with an empty stomach: a stand offering grilled sausages and coffee kept the attendees fed and warm throughout the day.

Joensuu, 5th of October

The second open house was held at Kesla’s headquarters in Joensuu, on Wednesday 5th October 2022. Around 500 curious visitors flocked the site to learn more about Kesla and its products.

The day's program had been packed full of activities with something available for everyone: guided production tours, a 3D-scanning presentation, an opportunity to try out the new 325T tractor loader and various simulators, meet-and-greet with the Youtuber Metsäman, as well as a spare parts auction. Kesla’s partners Prosilva and AGCO Finland were also present.

Guided tours led by Kesla experts were some of the most popular activities offered. Visitors got to visit Kesla’s factory, learn more about the production process, and see the staff manufacturing the products live. Tours were run in both Finnish and English all throughout the day.

The on-site food service was arranged by Kataja Ski Club. Offerings included a traditional spread of treats found at Finnish outdoor-events: grilled sausages, coffee, and cinnamon buns

Kesla would like to thank our partners, visitors, and proud members of Kesla team for the unforgettable two days. Thank you!
