Interforst press release: KESLA LAUNCHES SEVERAL NOVELTIES ON INTERFORST

02.07.2018 News

Kesla is a Finnish company known for its forestry machines: cranes, tractor attachments, harvester heads, forest machine cranes and chippers. On the Interforst 18-22.07.2018 in Münich Kesla launches several crane novelties including KESLA proC electric control system for top-seat and KESLA 2124ZT Z-boomed crane.

Electric controls are now available for top-seat equipped cranes

Electric control systems have become more and more popular in cranes due to their smooth and easy use. In Nordic countries mounting of electric controls is not a big problem as well-insulated, comfortable cabin is preferred due to weather circumstances. In many countries where top-seat is a preferred option, the electric system is more vulnerable for weather-related problems (especially moisture).

The system Kesla presents now is built on Parker’s L90LS valve. The valve is controlled with KESLA proC control system. The system and the joysticks are fully weatherproofed.

-       KESLA proC control system has become very popular among timber crane users, states Marko Härkönen, Director of Crane Business at Kesla. – The system allows the user to make several adjustments and even to save the settings for up to six persons. Controlling of a crane is easy and smooth.

KESLA proC system has also a feature called “Motion Balance”. It enables moving the crane in case of too low hydraulic flow. The first official crane deliveries with KESLA proC top-seat will take place in the beginning of 2019. The system will be available for most models in the KESLA 21 series. By 2019 also the new weather shelter for top-seat should be available.

The new, big Z-boomed crane KESLA 2124ZT

Kesla presents on the Interforst also the KESLA 2124ZT crane. It is a big, Z-boomed crane with double extension, outreach of 9,7 m and lifting torque of 219 kNm. This strong crane is suitable for timber loading.

-       Z-cranes have increased their popularity due to their practical transport position, Härkönen tells. - KESLA Z-crane series is now quite wide, starting from 5 tonnemeter cranes, With the new model, our range meet well the customer needs.

The crane is available also with single extension (outreach 8,2 m). It can be equipped with KESLA Vision and Vision XL cabin or with top-seat.

Straight-boomed 15 tonnemeter crane

KESLA 2115 crane was presented last year on the Elmia but it can also be seen on the Interforst. The crane is available with single extension in outreaches 8,1 and 8,6 m and with double extensions in outreaches 9,7 and 10,2 m. This crane model is suitable for timber loading but also for chipper use and stationary installations. The lifting torque varies between 139-151 kNm depending on the outreach.

Additionally, KESLA Vision cabin and grapples are for display on the stand FS 911 A/1.
